Stool Softener Experience

What's people like with stool softener? I've taken 1 or 2 the last few days since I think Thursday and definitely softer motions which has stopped all rectal bleeding associated with fissure and definitely much easier to pass.
However today and a part of yesterday I have had some lower a do cramps. Is this normal side affect? Haven't took any today.
Only other thing I can think of is that the last few days I've been drinking lots of alcohol cocktails with fruit juices which could impact it

I've been taking stool softener and haven't had bad cramps, just a bit bloated and gassy the 1st few days. Which softener is it? Is it a side effect mentioned in the package maybe? It might be the alcohol too ,also be careful with alcoholic drinks, they are not recommended with a fissure they will get you constipated as they are full of sugar.. Sorry I'm not being more helpful!

Feel better today the cramping feeling isn't as frequent or painful. Haven't took the tablets In 2 days so hoping it just wears off and I go back to normal. Read that dulcoease can take up to 72 hours to work
