Stoping this drug.

Hi y'all! I've been taking this hell in a form of a pill for about one month, 20mg at night to be precise, I decided that I would stop it since the side effects it is giving me are nasty AF (dizziness and lightheadness), so far I am down to 17.5mg in question of 5 days without any problem, some people have told me that I could stop it right away since I've been taking it only 1 month and that the withdrawal effects won't be that bad, should I stop it completely or shoul I continue to tapering it off? I don't really want to spend 6 months of tapering. Any advice is appreciated.

As you've been taking it for such a short time, you'd probably be OK to just stop. To be on the safe side, though, you could taper down, but do it much more quickly. As you've had no ill effects from your first reduction, maybe now go down to 15 mg, see how you go for a few days then go down again if all is OK. I went down from 20 mg to nothing in the space of 6 weeks, and had no side effects at all - had been taking ami for about 6 months. Good luck!

My daughter was os this drug 25 mg for 5weeks. She did a 5mg taper down every 5 days. She was left with severe nausea for 3 months after stopping. Nothing helped with the withdrawal until we went for acupuncture. That did help with the withdrawal symptoms. Everyone is different but unfortunately you wont know until you start to lower the dosage.  You can always go back on the lower dose to ease the withdrawal. For my daughter that wasnt an option because going on it triggered a 6 week long migraine. Good luck
