STOPPED SUDDENLY AFTER TAKING FOR 5 YEARS

Yes, I know not the best way to go about it, but after taking fluoxetine for 5 years, I decided to stop completely 4 months ago, without consulting my GP (who is useless anyway)

To be honest it wasn't too bad for the first 2 months, but since then, and in particular the past few weeks, its been absolute hell. Anxiety through the roof, not sleeping, heart palpatations, chest tightnight, vertigo, night terrors, etc. Even UTI symptoms.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated guys. I had fully expected that the fluoxetine would have left my system by now, instead the withdrawal systems seem to be getting worse the longer time goes on.

Will this eventually end???? Its putting an enormous strain on my relationships both at work and at home, as I can get very irrititated and lash out.

Thank you for any advice guys
