Stopping after 5 days (20mg)

I took 20mg in the first 4 days then cut in half to 10mg yesterday because 20mg was too strong. But, I am still feeling very unpleasant symptoms and I'd rather stop them now before my system gets used to them and to avoid withdrawal. Is it safe to do this and will I still get withdrawal? I won't be able to get to the doctor soon enough to discuss it.

I was perscribed 10mg as i am very sensitive to medication. If the side effects are bearable id try and stick with it as they will ease, it is awful in the beginning but things will start to get better.. Im on day 17 today and seeing a small improvement already. Good luck xxxx

I'm having the same problems on sertraline. I was on cit for years and didn't get any side effects but tried again with awful results and came off at day 6. Sertraline has been just as bad and days 10 and 11 were the worst days of my life. I'm on day 16 now and seeing some improvements. one good day then one bad. My doctor prescribed diazepam to help me over the worst days so it might be worth talking to your doctor again. Good luck
