Stopping Certraline

Posted , 3 users are following.

Just started (2 days) Certraline 50mg, feel nauseous, dizzy, claustrophobic, panicky (not all at the same time).  Have an unmissable work commitment for two weeks from Monday.  Thinking of stopping and starting again in two weeks' time so the side affects don't screw me up at work.  Leaving aside not being at work (complicated...) any thoughts about stopping after just two days?

Hiya, knowing what I know now I'd stop straight away before it gets into your system.

Or carefully read the, probable, side effect as they can be a nightmare.

I personally would also look up ''Discontinuation Syndrome'' (sertraline) and discuss it with your GP, prior to continuing with very controversial medication.

    Hi Simon,

You will be fine just stopping after 2 days. I think it is wise of you to wait until after the 2 busy weeks at work because the first few weeks of taking Sertraline can be really hard and may affect your work. Good luck x
