I have stopped taking 1mg elleste duet after approx 12 months and was wondering what to expect over the coming weeks. It's been about a week since I stopped....any advice would be appreciated thanks.

I found that anytime I stopped HRT, I was ok for about 3 weeks, then all the symptoms that I went on it in the first place, returned. 10 months after stopping, I am no better. However, I know many people who were fine after a spell of taking HRT and then stopped. I hope you find this

Can I ask why you are stopping it after 12mths Anjibebe?

Hi, I was talked into starting HRT by my GP after she said the risk of breast cancer was low, however recent news states otherwise. I was taking clonidine for hot flushes and GP suggested Elleste duet instead.

Hi Anjibebe.  There are lots of forms of hrt & some have lower risks than others. You could chat to your gp about options if you want to, or see if your surgery has a specialist meno/gynae gp or nurse (many surgeries do these days) that you could talk to.  I am on estrogen gel & micronised progesterone capsules (utrogestan) which are low risk hrt. just a suggestion hun. xx
