Strange allergy to foods? Nipples get sore (male)

Posted , 1 user is following.

I am a 50 year old male who has always liked very hot spicy food, such as vindaloo curry.

in the last few months when I eat anything remotely spice my nipples get very red and sore.

so I could understand I might have developed some sort of allergy to a particular spice. but I am getting it even with strong flavour but not spicy food, such as salt and vinegar crisps. I am sure those would not share any ingredients with, say hot wings. so I am at a loss and would welcome any suggestions as to likely cause.

I mentioned it to my gp (who is normally great) but she just laughed and said she was sure it's nothing to worry about.
