Strange fainty feeling when i turn my head?

Hi, I'm struggling to find info on what's going on with my coupin. All the info I find relates to anxiety and depression but its definitely not that. I was diagnosed with anxietya few years back but got over it quick enough and made a lot of changes. I'm pretty joyful nowadays! Anyway, its a weird faintly, lightheaded/dizzy feeling that's lasts for just a couple of seconds. It happens when for example I'm reversing out the drive, I'll spin my head and boom, feel collapsy! I'm t1 diabetic but in pretty good health, hba1c is usually in the 6's and 7's, bp is fine, so is cholesterol, kidneys, liver, eyes (all been checked lately) I'm 29 and male. Been feeling a wee bit sick at bedtime lately too. I've been to my gp and been prescribed antibiotics for suspected sinusitis but it had no impact. The only other thing is that I play bass in a function band, the doc did check my ears though and they were fine. I'm stumped! Any ideas?

    Hi,

I work with some amazing physiotherapists in Sydney and they have successfully treated vertigo/dizziness in cases of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). The research shows about 20% of cases of dizziness fall under this category. I'd suggest doing some research on it and finding a local physio who can treat it. Really simple technique that takes a few minutes if they know what they're doing.

    I hope it helps.

Thanks Sam, it sounds exactly right. It kinda stopped for a couple weeks but its started again. I play guitar so it can be very annoying when I'm playing standing up. I'll approach my gp in the first instance and take it from there. Thanks again! Stu.

      Hi Stu,

Have you had any luck figuring out the cause of the dizziness?
