Sarah, I have had anxiety my whole life with numerous symptoms, including numbness and prickly feeling in my head. In fact, I have had that over my entire body
That is not a symptom of brain tumor. Anxiety tends to produce symptoms of the nervous system so that’s why you feel those sensations.
I don’t think the doctors were brushing you off, it’s just that they know when to follow up on certain symptoms and they did not feel that yours were serious. They know symptoms of anxiety versus symptoms of something severe. They see this on a daily basis. Anxiety can literally produce hundreds of symptoms and none can hurt you. They feel weird and scary but that’s all they can do.
what I would recommend would be that you learn how to manage your stress and anxiety. That’s the only thing that diminished my symptoms and most of them have gone away. The symptoms are not the problem, it’s the unmanaged stress that causes the symptoms. Symptoms are just telling you that you have too much anxiety. I went to counseling which help to me A lot. But then you have to do things for yourself. I listen to meditations on YouTube for anxiety and those completely relaxed me from head to toe and my symptoms diminish or go away. You have to be determined to take control back. And I’m going to be honest, I still get occasional symptoms when I’m anxious. But then I go right to my deep breathing and meditation’s. Never give up. If you sit around and think about your symptoms and worrying, they will actually get worse. Your brain will do what you tell it to do. A lot of people on this site are reading a book called mindfulness. This is Taught all over the world and it really works! It teaches you how to regain your peace of mind and how to live in the present moment and get rid of fear and worry that does absolutely no good. There are many mindfulness meditation on YouTube also.
oh my symptoms started in my 20s and I got about eight at one time. I was terrified, but all my tests were normal. All my symptoms were do two years of anxiety and stress and when I got in my late 20s, my body couldn’t take it anymore and had a breakdown. I am now in my 50s and doing well, but even if I get a little anxious and get a symptom, I basically ignore it and it goes away . But I am living proof that the symptoms cannot hurt you because I’m still here! LOL . So do things that relax you like meditation, music, things that make you laugh and smile, don’t take life too seriously like I had to learn. You’re going to be just fine. Stay active and busy. 🌸🌸🌸🌸

Hi Sarah, hard to know really. Probably yes! I've had anxiety since childhood and it can cause all sorts of weird sensations. I did get similar to what your describing when my thyroid went though. I was early 30s at the time. Mine was/is underactive. And that can cause anxiety too!
