Strange mark that reappears and disappears

So I've have this small bright red spot on my inner thigh that reappears and disappears for maybe a year now. It will stay for about a week, gradually fade and disappear, then show up again in a month or two. It is always the same shape and in the exact same location. slightly raised, slightly scaley in appearance, nil pain or itchiness...I will attach a image below.

Any ideas what it may be? I thought a cherry angioma but to my knowledge they don't disappear and reappear...

    I think you should get this checked out by your doctor. That scaliness and uneven outline looks very odd. I'm fairly sure its not a cherry angioma.

      I have been trying, I'm often very busy and by the time I can see a doctor its started to fade or already disappeared! It is very frustrating 😦
