Posted , 10 users are following.

Hey Ladies...

Since I've been DEEP in the throes of menopause, I've experienced some STRANGE things.. That being said three of them are:

  1. Bruising: Several years ago, I woke up one morning, and had several bruises on my body; IDK where they came from or how they got there, yet they were very visible..
  2. Gum Pain: It started roughly two weeks ago; my gums hurt and are inflamed.
  3. Charley Horse In My Feet: Just yesterday, I was in bed and ALL of a sudden I got a CH.. The pain

went from my left foot to my right foot within five minutes. Having said that, if any of you lovely

ladies have had the most BIZARRE menopausal symptoms, please post them. Thanks in advance.

      Hey OJD..

I hear you, loud and clear! I wonder daily, how did our mothers get through this HELL on earth in one piece? And to think, they didn't have half the info or technology we have today...

      Head/ear/neck pressure: ditto.

Rib pain/tenderness: ditto (worse on left side, extends to mid-back & is tender when taking deep breaths - in a bit of a "flare" right now).

Knowing others experience similar symptoms brings relief when the worries start in the night, so thanks for sharing.

just wow! i read this and felt 2 years worth of anxiety (and medial visits) disappear!! my right eye has felt this way - pressure, 'bigger'- than my left for 2 years now. i woke one morning with it being blurry, but wouldn't resolve so I ended up going to the ER. They could find nothing wrong. Then went to my ophthalmologist. He found 'nothing wrong'. Everything looks 'perfect' There’s absolutely 'nothing wrong'. Yet I’m going crazy because I can feel it and ive stopped asking my doc because she only seems to have a list of the most common symptoms - and ive never had a hot flash!!. And now my neck and my head are all pressurized. And again 'nothing wrong' Can't even describe my neck to you - just wow. And had a CT scan because i developed tinitis just in one ear - 'all clear'! Thankfully that's gone.

i'll be 49 next week. i had been on birth control from Age 14 to 47. I have been off of it for two years because it started causing massive headaches on my off week Since then my periods went from murder scene heavy to 1 to 2 days of light and now I have not had one since October 6. That’s when my whole neck issue started.

So glad i found this site. i've been openly talking to any and all women I know about this because we all suffer in silence and it’s really sad. Thank you all for sharing what you have here!

stomach issues, itchy skin (just posted about that one in a different thread), the weird scary periods. I was 28 days clockwork before peri with textbook cycles. We all know peri causes weird period issues but I guess when they say weird it means like a horror movie, lol.

What kind of issues are you experiencing with your period?

  • Edited

Extremely heavy murder scene periods for the first two days. Then it just stops. Only to start up again for a few hours and then start again. This goes on for seven days until I taper off.

Some of the worst pelvic pain I ever experienced. It is right around my bladder. I have cystitis, since I was a kid. I am starting to think I have endo on the bladder. The symptoms are practically textbook. I am in the States so forget about getting a good diagnosis for endo, especially where I am at.

My periods are kind of normal for when I start. The last few months they have been every 31 days like clockwork.

I just got the booster shot and I had a period within fourteen days after my booster. I had this same pattern on my first shot. My first shot was the day of my period. My booster shot was the last day of my period. Both times fourteen days right on the dot with extreme bladder pain. I know this issue will settle, hopefully in a couple of cycles. I am just over it. I am tired of being picked on, lol.
