Strange place for symptoms ?

3 weeks ago the doctor told me I probably had herpes by looking at a blister on my pubic area.

My question is, has anybody else experiences symptoms of herpes on this area ?

I ask this because in all the leaflets and online it says that for women, symptoms for genital herpes appear on the vulva/vagina/anus/thigh areas, but no where has it said higher up where the pubic hair is?

I have had 2 swabs tested in the last 3 weeks and both have come back negative, however my doctor said it may just be that the swab did not pick up the virus as it does have the visual look of herpes symptoms.

At the moment I have big sores that burst and scab and then finally heal as a darker coloured patch of skin.

If anyone else had symptoms like these, has the darker skin colour eventually faded? I am worried that a guy will never have sex with me once he sees these strange looking patches sad

Also is it normal that I am still getting new symptoms after 3 weeks ? Even having taken an overall of 3 courses of Aciclovir prescribed by my doctors? I'm getting quite worried that my immune system isn't managing to fight this virus even though I am a healthy 19 year old and have just been tested negative for HIV?

I recently got diagnosed with herpies. Are you having pain or burning down there ? The swabs are sometimes hard because if the blister is not popped they don't come back right and yes they can appear on the public area at the top only one has on me and the other ones are lower down there. I'm not sure abut the dark part

I recent had a little discomfort and after a few days had my husband look and take a picture.. Is this what yours looked like?  It doesn't really  itch but after peeing it gets irrated.  Also while I am sitting it feels like I almost have to pee but I know I don't.

I have had no pains or burning, just constant tingling and slight itchiness here and there, and yes I think you're right about the swabs I definately think its herpes I'm just confused as to why it's taking so long to go to sleep rolleyes it's reassuring to know you get sores there too thank you!

Have you been to see a doctor yet? Mine look much bigger but that's probably due to where they are placed. I suspect that could be herpes by the looks of it, but best to get a professional diagnosis !
