I've been very ill since October 2017. Was diagnosed with active ebv in Dec. I'm 52 and had mono as a teenager. I just wondered if anyone else had a sore painful mouth. My whole mouth aches and my gums, teeth ridge and palate hurt and feel raw especially at night and face pain and sore throat. I am so weak i cannot function in daily life. I also suffer from brain fog and emotional numbness, will have extreme rigorous chills for NO apparent reason, extreme scalp pain, digestion problems & stomach pain. Experience numbness & swelling in my feet..I have little appetite, no sense of smell or taste. I am feeling helpless & hopeless that this is gonna last forever or kill me..has anyone experienced the mouth issues? I've been to dentist and no problem that he could find..I apologize for the "downer" mentality as i know many on here suffering also..I wrote this on my cell so may be hard to read..best wishes to all for returning to good health! I am checking in and I feel like I can relate to you all on such a wonderful level. Christine, I too was past infection and suffered from many of your symptoms (still do from some). Lesaco, you are correct with the post viral fatigue theory as that was the conclusion 3 different doctors came up with.. I was so desperate to find out what’s wrong so I can TREAT this thing and help myself. It is so hard to believe that a virus can make you feel so awful.
I just want everyone to know that I’m at 5+ months but things have improved. I have crashes still but they are milder and shorter.. no where near the terrifying fatigue and pain and weakness I felt at the beginning, when I was sure I was dying. Your days will slowly start returning to normal. I am now back to work on my feet (work in a daycare) for 12 hours. Yesterday I went grocery shopping, did some major spring cleaning, walked my dog for 30 mins.... I just want to let you know how much things have changed since 5 months ago when pouring myself water would wipe me out and leave me gasping for air and back in bed. Let’s all look forward to the summer... 3 more months .. we will see improvements in our health by then I am certain.

I have done an x-ray of teeth today. Turns out I might have a bone infection...I had bone infection 7 years ago in the same place. I hope it's not widespread as my symptoms have started last year i April-May and they started with a cold sore on my lip. At first I was suspecting something is wrong with jaw and gums. But my oral surgeon wasn't concerned. So now I'm here

no, he didn't say much, just referred me to an endodontist. the x-ray showed a black circle above my tooth. And he also said that I have Sjogren's Syndrome judging how dry my mouth is, and how many cavities i have

Ive had a crapier day today
throat hurting at times and ear and back/hip pain my eyes have felt extremley heavy too these last couple of days more than ive ever felt them! Im thinking another symptom? I havent looked myself for a while now and cant seem to gain any weight even though im eating alot each day 
when will this end?!?!? 😢

I hope you can get into the endodontist soon..it's like a juggling act with doctors i know...I don't understand why they not put you on an antibiotic if you have an infection in the bone just to be proactive in case it is bacterial..no wonder you having so much pain..I hope you can get some answers and a resolution to slow your dental issues down! Have you read about oil pulling with coconut oil? I wonder if it would be of any benefit to You? Take care..try to stay positive..I know I'm one to talk! Im a big bummer downer lately! Sorry

Oh sounds like such a tough day for you Christine, Poppy and Lesaco, I just wanted to let you know I'm thinking about you and to remind you there is hope even though it's hard to see it now. It's like waves in the sea it might be at lowest point now but remember it will come back up again.
I've not been doing too great either lately with my back and prostatitis, been feeling down and just can't seem to get a normal way of life back. I do understand what you guys are going through, I really hope and pray for a settled period for everyone - hang in there guys God is still there and is on our side.

I don't think i said anything wrong..guess I need go back and look..hope you're having decent day..I in bed..so sunny and warm out so for me makes it more stressful not to be able to get up and do something..always spring cleaning and outside busy this time of year..acceptance is challenging for me..sure it is for all suffering..wishing you well! Hi i havent been as bad today but for some reason my throat, ears, jaw & neck seem to hurt more at night times 😢 i am thankful tho as i dont feel as bad as 6 weeks ago and have been out & about today but really really just want to feel 100% sorry to hear you have been house bound it must be extra hard on sunny days and i really hope your energy picks up soon just keep remembering each day is one step closer to recovery im taking all kinds of vitamins at the moment!! When is your ent app??

Glad you're feeling alittle better! I know things for me intensify usually at night too..over this mouth stuff! Glad to hear you out and about some! I am hopeful to get there! & hope we all make it back to 100%! 🤗I'm waiting to receive my results from GI doc and we either gonna do a CT scan on my guts (lol) or go ahead and refer me to ENT..take care! Ok, Can I ask you what kind of pain do you have in your throat? Have you ever looked into the throat?
My tonsils hurt when I swallow. It feels like they bleed or they have wounds on them.
I'm so worried about the appearance of my throat, it looks red, web like vessels, red and bluish, and my lingual tonsils are swollen and I can even see yellow stones inside(I can see the tonsils stones inside the flesh as the skin is stretched as a result of swelling). Also I get on and off pain in my tongue and the roof of the mouth.
Sorry for detailed description. I just feel helpless. I feel like this is something else. I'm still waiting to see the endodontist.
