Hi sarah I get similar symptoms to you I have electric shocks and prickly sensations all over my body that make my skin hot and itchy! I also get dizziness and my head shakes without warning, also numbness in my face and shooting pains in my head! It's really distressing and so scary! I know how u feel

Yeah i get those shooting pains in my head too.. and behind my eyes they ache.. its just too many symptoms sometimes just to chalk it down to stress and anxiety. The vision disturbances worry me the most. But i feel once i get a new symptom, the old one that had me worried no longer happens so this makes me think its all in my head.

It's muscle tension in your neck and shoulders. It pulls on your head muscles giving you head pain and eye pain. Get a hot flannel or a wheat bag around your neck tonight and relax with it let me know how you feel smile

You get hot and itchy and prickly sensation because the the surface blood vessels constict it's a mild version of pallor (don't google it and be alarmed, it happens to everyone with anxiety and it's not scary.) adrenaline does this to your body so blood can move quicker around your body and get blood to the main limbs — your arms and legs so you can fight or run away from a situation. Once you learn to control your thoughts and feelings your body won't throw you into that adrenaline run state and this won't happen. I suggest seeing a therapist about some cbt smile

      Good luck.

    Hi Dear

Yeah I have the exact same issues. I guess there are different stages to anxiety. Forexample before I was getting hot and cold flashes but right now what it remained of it is some sort of numb sensation in parts of my body and the electric shocks of course. God bles this forum ,It is good to know that we are not alone in this. For me the worst part is the sleeping problems. I am waking up many times due to the electric shocks i get.

I hope you  get better soon. I mean i know that you will.

As for the numb electric shock sensation this is caused by muscular tension.

Flex your arm for as long as you can and the muscle will become tired and weak after 2-3 minutes you won't be able to hold it anymore and when the muscle becomes overworked and you're still trying to use it it'll send nerve shock pains through it, almost like your bodies way of saying 'give me a rest' if it happens in a certain group of muscles then you know you need to learn to relax these, for me it is in my shoulder and my back, once I get these pains I get a wheat bag in the microwave and I rest on it for 20 minutes and the pain subsides for a good few hours, I need to personally work out with some weights go get the muscle tone back otherwise it will keep happening to me.

When you get pains you stop using the muscle which puts pressure on surrounding muscles to help the muscle that you get pains in you'll start sitting with bad posture and before you know it large portions of your body hurt. Try get a massage, or at least get a wheat bag.

      Best of luck guys.

Yep when you're anxious your pupils dilate to let in more light if it's the middle of the day you already have enough light in your eyes so you'll start getting dizzy / blurry etc when you consciously try to correct it. The best thing you can do when your vision going weird is to just sit down and don't react to it, don't panic etc the same as when you had pains and then they went when you accepted them it'll do the same with your blurry vision.

You're not alone, don't worry. Also have your eyes tested just to be sure. Maybe some glasses might help too.
