Stress causing veins to bulge out??!

Posted , 5 users are following.

So, recently, I have noticed that my veins are sometimes beginning to bugle out more (normally my veins are hardly visible) on my hands and feet.

I have been a wreck today freaking out over them on my hands... While I used to freak out over tingling and prickling in my feet, in the past few days, it has seemingly moved to my hands, where often times they just burn and get prickly sensations. I am so scared and freaked out! I have been crying all morning.

Yesterday for example though, I got really busy with a friend, and I honestly did not experience any burning or tingling all day when I was out! As I was getting ready to sleep though, the symptoms all started tricking back, and then today, I am a wreck so far! sad please help, is this normal?

    Hi,

When I first became anxious this was a worry for me as well. I went to doctors a few times as I was worried I was getting loads of new veins and ones that were bulging but they said it was nothing. When you have anxiety, especially health anxiety you start to notice every little thing. Also muscle tension can cause it but if your worries it's no harm going to doctors smile

Thank you for the reply, this has reassured me a bit. I have calmed down a considerable amount from earlier, and it seems like those veins have decreased a lot in size since then! I guess that can show that stress/worry/anxiety could of been causing it. Other symptoms are not quite as bad as they were earlier as well.

Hi! I get the same thing too quite often! It’ll happen whenever I feel anxious and sometimes even when I don’t it’ll just happen. I don’t think it’s anything serious! smile
