Stressed

Not sure if this is something to worry about or not. But I missed my period for three months, August, September and October. But this month, November, I had my period for 6 days, yesterday being the 6th day and when it was supposedly finished. However, I just went to the bathroom and noticed a small patch of blood on my underwear. I then wiped and there was also bright red blood on the toilet paper. I'm stressing out a little, is it normal for a period to stop then come back again the day after it's meant to be over??

If you missed 3 periods your next one won't be typical usually. Ask to get your hormones checked, you could have an imbalance. Do you suffer with acne?

I've had acne since I hit puberty. I'm 23 now, but my dad too still suffers from bad acne and he's 54, so it's never really been discussed as unusual. It has stopped now, so I'm thinking maybe there was just some extra lining left to be shed, given that I've had a lengthy absence from a period.

If you keep skipping periods or get extra long ones, you could have polycystic ovarian syndrome. If you are worried check with your doctor.

I'm trying to get an appointment to see a doctor next week. Because my period this month is on its 9th day, not heavy but enough to be noticeable, plus I'm noticing darker facial hair instead of my usual peach fuzz. My moods have been out of control too, I just find myself getting angry or stressed at the stupidest things now.
