Stretched inner foreskin
Posted , 7 users are following.
About 5 months ago I had a rough masturbation session that inflamed my penis skin below the glands and above the circumcision line. It eventually healed but the skin has stretch marks now and is super wrinkly. The skin used to be firmly wrapped around my penis since I am circumcised. This injury has caused me to become depressed. I constantly think about the injury because I can feel the loose skin when I walk or do anything active , which makes me refrain away from sports or anything I used to love. This small injury is ruining me slowly and I'm not sure what to do .

If you hadn't been circumcised, you'd have had a fair bit more loose skin. As an intact man, I can't relate to your problem, as there is a good feeling for me in my loose skin! I do recognise that the change in feel bothers you, so I'm not unsympathetic, but I suspect your issue is mostly a mental one. There is no logical reason to refrain from your usual activities because of it. Maybe you could benefit from talking this through with your doctor, trusted friend or professional counsellor?

I know it's somewhat mental, but I know it's also physical. Ever since my injury I wake up and literally think about my damaged penis because I can feel it. I know I need to see a dermatologist because I saw a urologist and they said everything was fine. The problem is they didn't see my penis skin the way it was before because the skin is ruined. l know I need to see a psychologist as well because I've recently had suicidal thoughts. Then I start thinking that some people have it worse so I shouldn't have these thoughts. Either way, I guess I still haven't adjusted to my penis being ruined for the rest of my life.

It may be as it is for the rest of your life, but it's certainly not ruined! You just need to find a way to reframe the way you see it. A lot of life is about making what is work for us rather than getting into a victim mind set. To paraphrase the AA Serenity Prayer:
"Through my efforts, I gain the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference".

I know its not completely ruined but anytime I go for a run or even If I am out and about all day, my skin foreskin rubs and becomes raw. It also folds from being wrinkly which causes the skin to become tender. My depression is because I caused this from masturbating roughly and there's literally no way to fix it because penis skin is so thin. I guess it would be different If i hadn't caused it. Thanks for your help and kind words of encouragement Pepasan.

If a urologist and a dermatologist both said it was fine, then I suspect it probably is. I'm struggling to picture what your foreskin looks like (since you've been circumcised), so if you want to add a photo, this should help you add images:

If you're using a phone or tablet, you may need to choose the desktop/PC option in your browser, or if that doesn't work, you may need to use a PC or laptop.

These pictures should do justice. The skin is constantly dry even if I put lotion or oil on it which shows in the pictures. It has mini vertical stretch marks all over it and one huge horizontal stretch mark. At this point I don't care how it looks but the feeling of it is driving me crazy.

I've now seen the pictures and can see why you are upset. However, it may well not be permanent damage. Even quite scarred skin can heal without signs of damage, but it can take many months. I agree with ml66uk that keeping up with moisturiser is worth doing. Oh and, If it really was masturbation that strated this problem for you, maybe make sure you use plenty of lube each time you pleasure yourself.

Hello :-) Your photos indicates that your skin was really tight in the first place and I'm not surprized that this happened. In any case this doesn't look bad at all. No worries. I'm sure the marks will fade a little by little. Just give it some more time and keep moisting to make it feel less dry. Good luck and calm down ;-) You're not at all less attractive because of this. Nobody who's got the head and heart on the right place would ever think like that. :-)

My skin was tight in the first place due to circumcision but the skin was healthy and it wasn't an issue whatsoever. Since my incident the skin has become like sticky leather. I'm not worried about the marks but I'm worried about the way the skin feels and the health of it. I mean I have had accidents in the past such as broken bones and teeth, but those are actually fixable. During the incident the foreskin filled with fluid due to pressure which I think destroyed the mucous tissue. I just wish this was all a dream or that I was never circumcised. I guess I'll eventually move on but its been 6 months and this issue still eats at me everyday. I suppose its time to see a therapist or something lol.

I'm certain any fluid that filled within the foreskin during your 'incident' would not have caused any permanent change in the skin. I really think you have become obsessive about all this and talking it over with a professional would be the best thing to do. I certainly sympathise with the loss of your foreskin. I truly think this is a human rights issue and if you search online for anti-circumcision organisations such as Genital Autonomy or NOCIRC, you will get a lot of support.

I have a picture from when it filled with fluid because I knew I had screwed up and something definitely wasn't right. I just want others to know that it can happen to individuals that are circumcised who also dry masturbate. I know its not common because I've found only a few occurrences of this happening to others on the internet which is why I have become obsessive over it. Thank you for the information regarding the anti circumcision organizations and for the help you have provided. It is much appreciated to talk to others about the situation.
