Stretches and exercises for dealing with stiff thoracic spine

Hi there!

I'm 34 years old, and for several year I have been suffering from neck pain, headaches and stiff shoulders.

I have noticed that my thoracic spine feels quite stiff.

  • when I do the cats and dogs yoga thing, the area between my shoulder blades feels like it's getting stretched like crazy.
  • I'm not able to rotate my upper body very well
  • I feel constant tension in the area between my shoulder blades, and basically the muscles always feel taut painful.
  • I have a tendency of kyphosis/rounded shoulders

Can you guys recommend some good stretches and muscle building exercises?

Thank you!!

a professional physical therapist is trained to help with your condition without causing more damage.

sometimes yoga is not always the best for many bone and joint conditions. see a specialist who works with your bone and joint conditions to help with strength and conditioning without pain.
