Stretta Treatment for Acid Reflux

Stretta treatment. My Story......

It has all gone very well, the procedure is straight forward here in the UK.

I followed the Specialists treatment of Stretta Treament 2016 and advice on diet.

The diet aiding a good healing, in the recovery of the Stretta treatment.

Diet following Stretta procedure, 3 weeks liquid and then 6 weeks soft food.

This aiding a good healing in the recovery of, the Stretta treatment.

For any pain, in the days following the procedure The painkiller has to be liquid. He advised here in the UK, Calpol painkiller (liquid).

The liquid diet is hard as you get into the 3 weeks, but no harder than some people have to experience with other graver illnesses. This was my attitude of mind, to aid this procedure to heal really well, I followed my Specialists advice.

I am recovered in my Esophagus, I do not choke and cough in my throat.

My body feels calm and happy, without all the coughing and I do not now suffer the reflux. I am however, still careful with my diet of foods that can cause excess acid.

I recommend Stretta treatment, including following the aid to healing, by following the diets for 9 weeks, following the procedure.

Wondered if you are in the UK, as some people are from US.This can make a difference to how we talk about treatment.

I now, do not choke and cough in my throat.

My body feels well, calm and happy and relaxed, without all the coughing and I do not now suffer the reflux. I am healthier and improved in my general health. I am however, still careful with my diet of foods that can cause "excess acid".

Update Saturday 10th June 2017

I recently had an endoscopy as it is thought, that I may have gallstones in the Gall bladder.

The endoscopy showed that all the damage the acid did, is now healed.

The small hernia has shrunk and gone

The muscle is now tightened, at the opening of my stomach

My esophagus is healed of acid damage.

I have seen the photos of all this and it is really quite remarkable. The surgeon was really pleased.

Hope this helps

Hi Elizabeth, did you have nasal and sinus problems caused by the reflux as well. I have only recently been diagnosed with gerd. The swelling under my ribs is a hiatus hernia. Since taking omerprazole 10 days ago the hernia has gone smaller. Did you find the diet eady to follow and was it recomended by your consultant.

    cheers

The diet was to help the healing process after the Stretta Treatment...

      Lasted for 9 weeks.

I don't eat spicy foods or fatty foods as these create excess acid anyway.

Too much unhealthy eating these day's

Elizabeth that is such good news and will bring hope to many im sure. Thank you for sharing the good news with us.

I see my gastro yesterday and because I don't have hardly any damage to be seen he has just prescribed another drug! He said women are more sensitive to reflux compared to men.

I just don't get it. If I tried to sleep flat at night I would not sleep at all! It must be fairly serious to keep me awake all night. Hence why for 3 yrs I have slept with bricks under the top of my bed.

I wonder if they do stretta treatment in Australia?

All the best Elizabeth so glad ur better, this disease is the pits.
