I was wondering if anyone has had strokes due to the Aortic Aneurysm surgery they had? I myself had two minor strokes from my surgery and have vision impairment as a result.

My mom had surgery for an aortic aneurysm when she was in her 70s. She had a number of small strokes during her surgery. The doctors attributed them to the bypass machine used during surgery. I think they said that it is supposed to filter out blood clots from the surgery but doesn't always accomplish that.
She has no major issues from the strokes but has some balance issues and a some minor memory issues.
