Stronger dose for son 6ft3 and big?

My son was on 50mg of sertraline and they have put him on a stronger dose saying that he's to tall and big for 50's to work. He is 6ft3 and big.

    I guess his prescriber will have taken into account his BMI, 50mg is the lowest therapeutic dose for adults I believe, but everyone is responds differently, size/weight being one factor.
