struggle out of schizophrenia episode is good for you

I have schizophrenia and have managed to stay in job for 26 years. I am seeking opinion from people with schizophrenia on my experience and and my belief on why I have stayed in employment without a break.

When I go in an episode I try to continue working, though it is difficult. Last few episodes during episodes I began to exercise, meditate etc. During the episodes the thoughts become very obsessive and strong and I try to push them into exercise, concentrate on my work and meditate. This I believe has made my schizophrenia weak. There were times when same dose of a medication did not work, I did all above and the same dosage of medication worked. I strongly believe that trying these things during episodes makes schizophrenia weaker

I am not in an episode at the moment but want to try my ideas by actually going into an episode, doing strong exercise, continue working and meditate during that time. This is something I always do in an episode. The problem is psychiatrists don't understand such therapies and are quite obsessed with my normal state. I have managed to reduce my medication in my normal state anyway with exercise etc and want to take it further. The downside of me going into episode is that I talk things that upset some relatives of mine but am totally harmless

Has anyone experienced something similar during schizophrenic episodes which helped them. I believe it is very difficult for a schizophrenic to concentrate, exercise or continue working during exercise, however I have such insight during such times that I do all this. I try my best to come out of schizophrenic episode and this struggle I believe helps overall schizophrenia

The last paragraph should say continue working during episode not exercise, it is a typing error
