Getting into a regular routine of taking them . My doctor says that 40% of patients don't take their medications... probably due to side effects. It usually take a while to be prescribed ones that suit you.

I use a dosette box. Every morning, I take what's in the section for that day. I've found it very helpful.

My biggest motivation for taking my medication is that I know the results could be catastrophic if I don't. I take steroids for a serious eye condition and if I do not take them I could go blind. I take insulin for diabetes, and if I don't take it, I could end up being blind, having amputations, etc. I take Ad-calc for osteoporosis and if I do not take that I could have a lot of fractures, and so on. I have a lot of other conditions (total of 12) most controlled by medication so I take the tablets so I do not get any worse. However it is important to remember that medications are not the only thing that helps - what about diet and exercise?
