I have recently been prescribed sertraline by my gp. Im having awful night time hallucinations of seeing spiders. I have a follow up gp appt in 2 weeks but the way i feel is that things will never get better. I dont like taking anti depressants but was willing to try anything. I dont feel any different tbh than when i 1st spoke to gp about how i was feeling.

Allow four or five weeks for the drug too work.
Give yourself time and a chance for the drug to work, Many struggle in the early days, you are not aloneĀ

Hi I was offered antidepressants a few months back after struggling with PTSD counselling sessions. I said no. Here's why. I have IBS, I am already having counselling and am doing yoga too. I am scared of ever taking any antidepressants -,they all bugger up your bowel and head! No more, come off them. That's all!

That bad dreaming of spiders must be a common thing for certain medications, as I get the same bad, wake up sweaty from dreaming about spiders everywhere and all over me, and also I've had the same one but it's kittens and they're all scratching me, these happen if I forget a anti-depressant for a couple of days, which is easy for me to do, as I take a few tablets 3-4 times a day, so sometimes I forget what I have and haven't took, it's just strange the same dreams concerning anti-depressants. They don't work for me amyway
