Hi, sounds like we are in a similar position but you have moved up doses much quicker than me. What was your starting dose? I started on 75mg on 1st April. This was increased to 112.5mg on 18th April and am meant to be increasing to 150mg from 5th May.

I think it is helping however I'm still getting anxious with low mood and worst of all I'm experiencing the most awful tiredness! Never known anything like it. Are you getting that?

How long did you stay at 75mg for? You seem to have gone up very quickly! What other medication have you tried?

      Psychiatrist had me on 75mg for 1 week then 150 tor 3 weeks..now 225...

Maybe mine just being extra cautious and taking me up and a slower pace. From what I've heard it seems to take 6-8 weeks to be fully working. Have you seen any improvement at all?

Ive tried citalopram, sertraline, fluoxetine, seroxat

How long have you been on it in total Sharon? Are you also getting the tiredness?

Hopefully it will all settle down. I've heard some very good things about this drug but everything just takes so long!

I was on citalopram for 10 years with no problems at all! Stupidly came off it in August and just crashed 6 weeks later with this awful anxiety and depression. Tried to go back on citalopram but it did nothing. Then tried sertraline which also did nothing so now nearly 4 weeks into venlafaxine. My appetite and sleep are coming back slowly but I've got this awful fatigue and shakey feeling all the time. I'm hoping it's just side effects that will go away in time.

I too was on citalopram for yrs but it stopped working. Sertraline did nothing.

Sleep returning is a good early indication that the medication is working. What about your appetite? X

      Again that's a good sign.

My sleep and appetite have also improved however I'm struggling with the most awful fatigue. I've never known a tiredness like it despite having a good sleep at night.

Also still quite anxious and my mood is still quite low sometimes.

Just want this medication to start working so I can get on with my life.
