I have pain all over, Hands and feet being the worst but also in my lower legs forearms neck shoulders and ribs. My pain started after a fall when I crushed my head against my shoulder, following this I had an MRI of my neck and it showed up 3 prolapsed discs in my neck. after this I ended up in hospital for 52 days with them scrating there heads as to what the cause was for a whole year.
The pain in the ends of my fingers is like someone standing on them constantly and at really bad times I feel like someone has a pair of pliers trying to pull off my nails.
I hope that this isn't over the top for people but this is honestly the way I feel.

Damage in the cervical spine at/around C-5/6 will cause the problems you are having. Look it up and see if that sounds like what's going on.
It could be something like a subluxation where the disk is out of place, herniated disk putting pressure on the nerves or a long term pinched nerve from muscular inflammation or dysfunction. There are also more severe things it could be, but I'm not going to get you all paranoid.
I'm guessing a free consult with xrays at a chiropractor & some adjustments and a few massages is all you need.

And if you haven't had an xray please don't assume! I know of someone who sounds just like you & pain patches and all. It was an overuse injury (tendonitis and bursitis). That got better but it triggered some hereditary spinal stuff. All the meds and lack of an actual Xray & MRI stole many years of her life.

1. Never just accept a med if it doesn't work. Insist on something else.
2. Fentanyl will knock you out before it kills the pain.
3. SOME of these pills....antiinflammatories, Neurontin or Lyrica, SSRIs and a lighter pain med like Tramadol.... are FAR better than any narcotics.
Narcotics can create or perpetuate HPA axis dysfunction including Adrenal Fatigue AND jacks up your nervous system. It ensures the fibro will never get better and future severe metabolic dysfunction. If that's not enough, eventually they can literally change your permanent brain chemistry.
For the vain, all of that makes you wrinkly, ugly, sunken eyes, thin & dry hair and skin, major stomach problems and weak. You will age 2-3 years for every year you take them and will get, well, ugly.

I was (kinda still am) sickly, going to MANY different specialists for a host of problems. Insurance issues forced me off them cause I don't have a pain doctor at present yet. I found some neurontin, tramadol, toradol & Valium in my medicine cabinet. Managing the dosages on my own was pure hell, lot of pain. It is a LOT of meds to replace those 3 tiny oxycodone a day BUT I don't need most of those specialists anymore. I'm digesting food, hair stopped falling out as much, falling asleep at night sometimes, wake up not exhausted often, BP is up, not dehydrated from the inside so I look years younger in just a couple weeks.
There are side effects to everything and my protocol is only temporary but I will NOT go back to narcotics!!! I still have a very healthy lifestyle & all that but unfortunately it's not enough.

One if two things are happening.
1. You have severe inflammation & the heat makes it worse. OR
2. You released toxins so now your body us like 'okay, roadway is clear. Let me release more' necausecthat is our body's job. Even my teenage son gets that feeling after a mssage & bath.

And frankly, I still love life. You learn to appreciate what everyone else takes for granted. You learn to live life like 'no one is watching' because you appreciate those good times SO much more.
Can't say I haven't considered 'selling my soul', if that was a thing, to make it all go away. But who I am, how I am, because of all of this, I wouldn't trade for anything. I honestly don't know if I could go back & fix this from the start if I would. Because who we are and how we live is what matters most. And I don't think I ever would have found the kind of inner peace, strength, life perspective and true appreciation for life if I hadn't suffered so much.
