Struggling to pee on sertraline

Hiya,

I've been on Sertraline 150mg for a week now for depression and anxiety having previously been on both 50mg and 100mg and I feel like when I go to the toilet, I'm not completely empty when I am finished urinating and feel like I constantly need to pee.

This has only started happening since I've been on Sertraline. It started mildly when I was on 50mg but has really ramped up since I've increased to 100mg and now on 150mg, it is becoming unbearable.

Just wondered if anybody else has experienced the same side effects.

I have severe health anxiety especially regarding cancer as I had a cancer scare when I was 16. This isn't helping with that. I'm convincing myself that I have bladder cancer. I am a 33 year old male. I don't drink alcohol and I have never smoked.

Just thought I would reach out to see if anybody else has experienced the same thing on Sertraline because it's got to the stage that I am scared to go to the toilet because either nothing comes out or just dribbles, I have to push hard most of the time for anything to come out.

I have a doctors appointment on Friday this week as I am currently also tapering off Diazepam due to being on it for a lengthy amount of time due to lack of care and being failed by my previous doctor after being put on it during a crisis 5 years ago.

Wondering whether to say to him that it's not the tablet for me or whether to stick with it and hope it goes away.

Any experiences and reassurances would be much appreciated.

Cheers
