Yes, Kathy , I had the triple fusion done last year when I was 76 and it has been a great success so far and am going for the. other side to be done in June, just to put my money where my mouth is, so to speak!  The recovery is long but slowly but surely one regains strength.   Just  as Nonita said, I too am happy to answer any questions.

Penny, thank you for responding to my discussion.   After reading all the other discussions I am very nervous about doing this.  I’m wondering how much help I will need for the first month.   Will I need help dressing and showering?

What walking aides helped you the most.   How long did you stay in the hospital after surgery?

Nonita, I’m so glad you said it was well worth it.   After reading all these comments I am very nervous. What aides did you use to get around ....the crutches are hard on me but I’m not using them so I feel every muscle in my body after walking around with them  for a few minutes every day.  day.      I’ve been trying to practice getting in and out of the bathroom but I’m not showing any real improvement yet.   How long were you bedridden? How much help did you need the first two weeks?

Thank  you for responding to my chat.
