Subtotal with hysterectomy with bs

can someone advise me regarding an appointment I have had today.

I went for a follow up appointment after having a laparoscopy treatment of severe endometriosis. today my doctor had advised me to consider having subtotal hysterectomy with bs which I am not sure on what i should do as it is a very big decision to make in a short period of time. however, my consultant had advised me to try going on gonapeptyl injection along with fitted mirena coil for sixty months.

I am unsure of what path I should go down as I am only 38 years old and these are life changing procedures. if anyone has had the same problem or has been through something similar please do give me some advice.

thank you.

Rahi, not familiar with the gonapeptyl injection. But Mirena will mess with your bloodpressure & blood sugar If you are unlucky.

    Hi Rahi

I don't know what that is that they want you to have but I just wanted to say I tried the marina coil and it wouldn't stay in. My sister has endometriosis and is on some groups for it if you do need more info I can put you in touch if that is allowed.

    Rahi,

It boils down to your needs and preferences. I had a robotic laparoscopic last week Wednesday. I went through the two shots of Lupron and the side effects were terrible. The fibroids barely shrunk. My uterus weighed 10 lbs. Each doctor I saw regarding this fibroid told me that I could not save my uterus.

I really wanted to be pregnant and have my child but the Lord of wonders has greater plans for me. Its one week and I feel so much better. I prayed and had peace.

Be encouraged Rahi. Make your research, get other opinions and be honest to yourself. You will be fine but the decision is yours. I pray God directs you and help me make the best decision in this situation.

      thankyou yvee0589

for your reply basically they cleared some endometriosis from my ovaries and I alot off endometriosis depost on my uterus which was very difficult to get out and the fact that my uterus is very large in size

the doctor saying they try to put me on temporary Menopause's and along side IUS coil until I decided if I want to go ahead with the subtotal hysterectomy and leaving the ovaries and the cervix

I'm so confused and don't know what decision to make, can I ask do you lose weight after having hysterectomy?
