Success on Citalopram😁

I just wanted to feed back to you all how wonderful I am feeling week12 on citalopram 20 mg
This is my second time on this drug since 2013. With hindsight I should never really have come off it but stayed at a very low dose .
I spent hours..again ...researching the internet in the early stages. This time it took 6 weeks until I started to feel better. It had taken only 2 the first time
Yes I had all the side effects and felt much much worse whilst my brain waited to rewire itself in those initial weeks
It may not be the drug for everyone but it's worked wonders for me
So I just wanted to comfort and give empathy to those of you out there who are still on their journey
My path is now much straighter
Good luck all

It does work
IT just takes time for your body to adjust to the drug during which u will have ups and downs

hi all i just wanted to come and reassure you all that you can recover from this. I have been on 20mg Citralopram since I was 18 and I am now coming off. It is hard but I am getting there. Cit has served me well but I am at a point where I have made so many adjustments in lifestyle, eating, exercise, thought process that I am ready to come off. Remember when on these tablets you need to stagger yourself going on and off them. The withdrawal is tough so go easy. Give yourself time for it to stabalise in your body.

guys!!! if your having problems sleeping or early awakening or even if you simply dont feel properly "rested after sleeping, someone recommended a weighted blanket to me which I thought was nonsense, anyways, after alot of research and looking at reviews i ordered one on amazon and the last 2 nights i have slept much better and actually have been able to relax at night and go back to sleep quickly if i wake, it has also minimised my morning anxiety significantly!, i also feel more "rested" I definatley reccomend it! but they are £60 ,on amazon, but compared to the branded ones that go for 150 quid, that's pretty cheap to have a good nights sleep without the use of sleep aids or sleeping tablets!

Are you on a reduction down from a higher dose?
and are on 5 mg
or are you just starting it?
in which case 5 mg is not a theraoeutic dose...
20 mg is
