Success story on Fluoxetine

Hi everyone,

I promised myself if I ever recovered I would post for other fellow sufferers to encourage them. For 8 months I suffered the most severe anxiety and panic daily. I sometimes had up to 4 panic attacks a day, could barley leave the house and drive, had physical symptoms - weight loss, insomnia, shaking, etc; and mental ones - racing thoughts, pure O, etc. I tried everything and I mean everything to recover. I spent thousands on CBT, specialists, meditation, therapy, hypnosis, vitamins, the list goes on. It was the most darkest debilitating time in my life. I searched for answers constantly and would read this site a lot for encouragement. It took me 6 weeks on 20mg of Fluoxetine to recover. It got worse before it got better. My biggest regret is that I resisted medication for so long out of fear. For anyone else suffering, it is my genuine wish that no one suffer as I did and so many others do. I thought I was trapped that way forever. It was a combination of Fluoxetine and a book that I read that were the final stepping stones on my journey of recovery. If anyone has any questions or would like the name of the book, please just msg me. And please know that there really is a light at the end of the tunnel and once you come out the other side, you will be a stronger and more compassionate and grateful human being. I wish everyone the very best on their journey and know that you aren't alone.
