Suction and vertigo

4 days after having my ears suctioned I am still feeling dizzy. Is this a normal reaction? A lot of wax came out of my ears and I was almost completely deaf in one ear before the procedure thanks

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems. Having done a bit of research since you posted (I just searched Google for 'suction and vertigo' ), and it would seem that vertigo is a common after effect of suction due to the change in temperature in the ear through the process. The top two links from the search on Google cite related articles, the first showing the number of people experiencing the after effect and the explanation for this, and the second cited how they managed to eradicate the issue.
It would seem that the dizziness is to be expected for up to 20 minutes after the treatment finishing. This doesn't mean that it is unheard of for the symptom to last longer or that it is anything to worry about, but I think it is worth reporting via a phone appointment with either your GP or your specialist.
Would you mind keeping me updated. This might well help a lot of people who are in the same position as you in future.
Hope this helps.

Hi Louise
I know you posted this nearly a year ago . But I was wondering have you found relief from your dizzy symptoms and if so how long until they went
I used a Hopi ear candle 3 weeks ago and ever since I've had an off balance / floaty head sensation , and also mild intermittent pain in that ear .
Hope you find the time to reply
Thanks
