Sudden and constant urge to pee after 5 weeks back on Citalopram.

Hi all, first time posting. Bit of a back story.

I was on Citalopram for approx 6 years, going through all the doses (20mg to 40mg to 30mg to 20mg to 10mg).

About 4/5 months ago I decided with agreement of the doctor to titrate off it.

Long story short, I started retaking it approx 5 weeks ago at 10mg. The first two weeks I had the usual side effects and then I was fine, up until last week. For about 5 days now I've had a constant need to go to the toilet, even after I've just been. It's constant, day and night.

I can hold it in fine, but it's a very uncomfortable feeling. I've been to Urgent Care today and they've done a urine test and nothing has come up in it, it was totally clear. Doc has basically advised me to wait it out and if it persists after another week or gets worse go to my GP.

I just wondered if it could be the Citalopram doing this? I didn't think when I was at the doctor so didn't ask if it could be that but after having a bit of a search through forums it's popped up a couple of times.

Has anyone else experienced this? As mentioned above, I restarted my Citalopram about 5 weeks ago (29th June to be exact and the date now is 5th August), so I know I'm not fully out of the side effect zone.

Any reassurance would be massively helpful!
