Sudden blockage in ears

Hello ladies. Has anyone of you experienced blockage in your ears ? Tonight was the first time I experienced this symptom in my 5 yrs dealing with Peri. It literally freaked me out , then came the panic attack. My hearing was at a low. Now I am somewhat ok. It came on suddenly out of nowhere
I am so sick of all this crap. One day you're feeling fine then boom. Can anyone relate ?

Hello oh my I too have had the clogged ears before and its down right scary! I would panic and it disturbed my sleep so much..I think perimenopause cause everything to go haywire in our bodies. I did find relief in breathing in steam from a bowl of hot water..I would put a towel over my head and just breath in and out for a few minutes and my ears would pop open.. Clogged ears very annoying.. I hope this help you...

I've been having this happen to me too. My doctor puts it to allergies. I never had allergies either until perimenopause hit. There are so many things in our bodies that are effected by hormones. I had no clue until things started to change for me and I literally feel awful every single day. I haven't had a normal day in 7 years now. All we can do is hang in there and I personally take great comfort in knowing that I am not alone and the only one going through this terrible experience.

Hi there,
You may want to have an ENT look in there, but at the same time, also consider having an oral surgeon check your jaw joints. Temporomandibular disorders can cause headaches and ear issues, including a blocked sensation. ENTs often love to say that blocked feeling is because of an eustachian tube disorder, and will prescribe antihistamines or steroid sprays, and then people will wonder why they're not helping. Jaw joint issues can flare up especially if you've been under stress and unconsciously, routinely clench or grind your teeth.
