Hello, I am new here and need some help with an ongoing issue. It started months ago with just bloating, distension mainly in upper abdomen to which I was told ibs. I tried fodmap, buscopan, probiotics, peppermint but nothing. also due to loss of appetite I lost an unhealthy amount of weight. My immune system is awful and I'm constantly catching stomach bugs and I get it twice as bad as everyone else. I also have indigestion now and I coughed up blood once. Recently I think I have acquired a stomach ucler, unbearable burning pain and naseau that can be relieved by antacids. When I wake up my upper abdomen is swollen and distended above the lower and is hard and tender. It is like this throughout the day too, everyday. I am now at the point where I get uncontrollable diarrhoea straight after eating but also drinking. Help please!!

What weight were you, are you now, and what foods and lifestyle have you got?

I was 38.5kg and am now around 35.5kg or less. This is worrying as I am 5ft 2. I have recently cut out dairy and I have tried fodmap and gluten free but those were not helpful and I am a pescatarian. I am currently not very active as it is too much for me and I eat healthy the majority of the time. Hope this helps

It sure sounds like it could be an ulcer, but I’m no doctor.  You need to see your doctor and if you already have one a GI specialist.  I’ve been battling similar stomach issues and am being scoped next week as right now they suspect h pylori.

Thank you, I was referred to the hospital recently but found out yesterday they rejected it for some reason. Let me know how your scope goes and what they find!

    Hi amelia10791

Ask your doc to test you for HPylori as you are presenting with typical HP symptoms..the tests are either stool test, breath test or endoscopy..a blood test does not always pick up the HP...best wishes...

EDIT: I'm actually constipated now but the stools are loose. My weight is 35kg and I am 5ft 2 inactive and eat healthy majority of the time. I do not currently eat dairy. The antacids are not helping anymore and the pain is unbearable and I am getting a little bloated/ distended in my upper belly (probs from the constipation). I feel like I need to have a bowel movement but I don't and my stomach feels like little air bubbles are trapped. The pain is bringing me to tears, help!!!
