Sudden dizziness / brain fog

Hello,

My father is a 60 year old male. When he was young he used to have head pains now and then. His father used to have some electric related problem where he had episodes where he starts saying random things.

Growing up he got some red veins on the cheek area near his ears but nothing else that was out of the ordinary.

A few months ago he suddenly had brain fog and dizziness where he felt the world is spinning. We went to a clinic where they checked for symptoms of an ear imbalance that could be the cause but it was ruled out (I dont't know its name in english). They also connected a machine to his chest area to check for any heartbeat anomalies which was also ruled out.

The doctor told him to take an anti enflamation drug to calm the nerves in the head area. He took something called rapidus which gave him relief.

Today, 4 months later, he had another episode with the same symptoms. Tomorrow we will take him to the doctor but I was wondering if someone knew the cause of this.

The symptoms fade away after on their own after 2 hours and it is slightly less intense when lying back.

We also made an observation that during both times he made long trips on the road and didn't drink much water.
