sudden muscular spasms

Posted , 4 users are following.

sometimes during the night I get a sudden shooting cramp in my left leg. I have to wigggle my foot & stretch my ankle to get rid of it. Then I started getting it more severely on waking in the morning in both legs. I also get this in my neck during the day. It becomes especially awkward when I'm driving...trying to look left.. wham!  Someone suggested it might be the Lipostat causing muscle spasms. My g/p says I have to put up with it, he says it's not dangerous & is keeping my lda's down. What if my neck get's stuck & I cause an accident?

Ah thats one I havent heard of. I was on simvastatin a few years ago, caused the same problem, I am now on atorvastatin 20 mg and have no side effects, so maybe ask for a change, cos they are known for causing leg cramps and spasms.my cholesterol was highest my gp had ever seen and I had no idea why! Under control now though thank goodness!

well thats meds for you solve one problem and cause another, your have to decide if one out ways the other , your proberly have to give up driving as well if your not fit .

if you did have a spasm and injure someone youd never forgive yourself.

you have put its helps your lda's not sure what that is .

i use natraul pain releif, oil, which makes me sleep better, which means less fatigue due to lack of sleep, and less brain fog,  i use magneisum oil on my legs and feet ,and some supplements to help in general . its taken me a number of years and a lot of money, to get where i am to day,

my dream is to one day beable to afford a hot tub with soothing jets . but thats a long way of .MY SYMPTOMS ARENT GONE, BUT VERY MUCH REDUCED ,and with no nasty side effects.
