Sudden onset of symptoms, is that normal?

I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia by both my rheumatologist and general practitioner for the past 3-4 years, however, have been dealing with it for much longer, so I'm no stranger to the illness. Typically my symptoms consist of mild headaches, chronic fatigue, insomnia,  severe joint pain, chest pain, abdominal pain, numbness/tingling of limbs, among other things. However, I have always considered it to be a blessing that I didn't seem to have the muscle tenderness, or the sensitivity to touch, that most people categorize fibromyalgia as. I have tender spots, but as far as muscle tenderness, I haven't really struggled with it, not until very recently. Within the past week, I have gone from having minimal muscle tenderness to severe muscle tenderness, (mostly in my upper back/shoulder, chest bone, arms, lower back) the only difference in my treatment being that my doctor prescribed a steroid (Prednisone) to help ease inflammation. I tried looking at the side effects, however, didn't come across anything like it. Is it normal to have sudden onset symptoms like this? or is it possible it is completely unrelated? I would love to get feedback, as I am very confused with this sudden addition to my symptoms.

you sound as if you have Fibro but Pednisdalone is only suitable for Polymyalgia

I know because I had Poly for 3 years and it turned to Fibro and Pedisdalone has no effect on Fibromyalgia

    Hope this helps !

    The inflammation is there.

Until you get the answer you need observe carefully .

your anti inflammation diet avoiding carbs, desserts,

    Dozen food.

Lots of greens - kale for instance, vegetables ( try broil tomatoes cut into wedges or slice , fish,

A broiled slice of salmon seasoned with drops of lemon an olive oil - no salt- just those sal substitutes.

    Starwberries, avocado, papaya.

Grate fresh ginger in a cup of decaf tea. It is delish!

    Use Turmeric too.

Feel good, believe in what you want for you.

fibro effect muscle, joints and sensitivity. My understanding you can usual symptoms due the overactive/sensitive nerves. Since June 2016 I have experienced many weird symptoms that I hadn't in the past. It's possible. I'm currently on prednisone for inflammation but not experienced usual sensitivity. My muscle are already sensitive all over.
