Sudden Symptoms

For the past 8 days, I have been dizzy, headache, sound in my head that never goes away, like my brain is sending sound waves all over.  At fe different times I've had a fever as well.  At times i feel very faint.  I thought it started with an inner ear pain that seemed to shoot a pain to my eye on the same side, could be coincidence, that never came back, but these symptoms started and haven't stopped.  I started taking C and Zink but got sick, runs, (sorry) so I quit taking it.  Sometimes it agrees with me and sometimes not.  When I got nauseous, I was foaming at the mouth, that 's all that happened, a lot of saliva and foam.  I got scared and stopped taking the vitamins altogether.  However, I took half a C (500 mg) and a Zink (50 mg) this morning  and so far things are ok, no nauseousness - but still have the other symptoms.  I can't get the noise out of my head, the headache and the pressure is a lot.  I'm trying to see a doctor but haven't been able to yet.  I was told it might be a virus but it doesn't sound right.  I have no cough, no sinus problem, no sore throat, no ear ache, nothing.  This is all in my head, literally.  I thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone can tell me anything.  I also am a bit anemic but not so much to worry about.

I do have 4 forms of arthritis and Hashimoto Thyroiditis and due for a knee revision the end of the month, if I'm not sick.  So any input would be appreciated..  Thanks in advance.

Sounds a lot like Ménière's Disease to me.

Thanks I will look and see if that's a possibility.

    Hi Carol,

I very much doubt whether it's the vitamin or mineral pills that are making you sick. It's more likely to be an inner ear problem - possibly a viral infection of the vestibular nerve. You need to see your doctor asap, as it's sometimes possible to treat viral infections of the vestibular nerve if they're caught early enough.

I just want to report that I had a virus for a few days maybe a week, and my thyroid was out of wack - I have Hashimoto Thyroiditis and when it's a little off, i'm really off.  Been bouncing like this for about 25 years, but this time it was confusing because of the virus at first.  So, maybe this is something others might want to check when you have dizzy, nauseous, or brain sounds.  Thanks for all the input, I really appreciated it.
