3 times now I have woken up suddenly while i was dreaming. When i wake up i get this feeling of lightness and exhuasted feeling. And i have such a shortness of breathe that i have to get up and breathe on my own for a bit before i can feel normal again. I am worried about this extremly considerng i have not experienced anything like this and i dont see my doctor for another month. Is it possibly something wrong with my heart or lungs? Do i need medical attention asap? Is this just some strange form or sleep apnoea?

    Hi Justin,

You need to get back on your anti-anxiety medication, which these days will almost certainly be some kind of antidepressant. As poster apu says, these meds should never be stopped abruptly. They should be tapered very slowly under medical supervision.

If you want to get off medication, talk to the doctor who prescribed it.
