im 16 and ive had this pain for almost 2 years. its on the opposite side of my heart. it feels like your having a heart attack. and somtimes it even feels better when you add pressure to the pain. it sometimes last '10 seconds' to 'all day'. the pain really hurts and theres nothing that the doctors can do about it.

Hi , I have really bad Tietzes Syndrome and it is triggered by certain things, vigerous exercise walking up banks, flu injection, haave just had bad bout of it. The crushing in my chest gives me vigerous coughing and the pain is like a heart attack. It drains me of energy and I feel like I have an obstuction in my chest.I have gone onto a mediteranean diet which helps it sometimes as it stops the inflammation sometimes. But the best thing to do is to find out what triggers it ie. flu infection exercise and try to prevent these and that will help the tietzes.
