The main thing is to keep away from fried foods, fatty foods and alcohol.
Try not to eat to late at night.
Gallbladder attracts normal happen at night.
See how you get on if it carrys on get an ultrasound and get it removed there is no point stressing and worrying when the next attack will happen.
I suffered for six years and I finally had the op.
Kind regards

Havent had any attacks since the last one thank God i have stayed away from fried and greasy foods but do live in fear of the pain coming back
How have you been feeling after your surgery ?? I heard is quite painful and makes you feel bloated for a while also the 4 incisions they make in your stomach take a while to heal .
Hope your feeling better and wish you a speedy recovery .

i haven't scheduled for surgery yet, my mine concern is the dizziness/imblance feeling after eating compared to the pain, but doctors are not sure if the dizziness/imblance is related to the gallbladder or not. Also i have gastritis, so doctors are saying only removing GB will tell if the bloating and burping are due to gallbladder or gastritis. So still in sidelines. Definitely the pain should get solved after surgery. Please do post after your surgery , how do you feel with bloating and burping and your energy levels.

Maria sorry to hear this and a new baby also must be horrid for you ! I am having the same problems and what I suggest that you do not eat salad leafs very hard to digest ! Eat little and often not to much protein especially red meat not good ! also cheese keep your fats down also to a minimum you will be ok with olive oil .make your own nutrious soups and put turmeric in them about half a teaspoon !you could put some noodles in your soup too make your own smoothies with protein powder in them .Maybe make a list of what upsets you more too .Take probiotics and multivitamin .fat free yoghurts too I've been in and out of hospital since Christmas I've still got my gall bladder and I take digestive enzymes and probiotics and multivitamins . I've lost so much weight it's unreal seeing surgeon in June to see if it's coming out and I really don't want this op ! Hope that helps a little

My heart goes out to you Maria - gallstones are bad enough without having a newborn as well to cope with.
When the pain first started I had no idea it was gallstones. As time progressed the attacks became more frequent and very painful. The absolute thing you MUST avoid is anything fatty. For instance, my doctor rang me one evening. She advised me not to drink alcohol as it was affecting my liver. I don't drink alcohol at all so that was a bit shocking. When I told my doctor that I didn't drink it seemed to clarify to her that I had gallstones. I guess what little fat got into my system was doing all kinds of things to my liver. I now realise that alcohol isn't the only way to get cirrhosis of the liver! I was shocked to say the least. Anyway, the long and short is I had my gallbladder removed in April 2015. It is great to be without the pain, though it took some while for my body to settle down and get used to working without my GB. However, I have been left with a situation where although the pain has gone, I do now suffer with diarrhoa and have to take medication each day for it. My advice is stay off anything fatty (there seems to be so much of our food that contains fat!), and drink lots of water.
Since removal of my GB I take Cider Apple Vinegar tablets to help breakdown the fats, and I think it helps greatly.
sending you very best wishes.

I seen the surgeon last week only to be told that i did needed surgery to remove my gallbladder not looking forward to it one because of my baby shes still so small so im going to need alot of help after op i heard it take 3 to 6 weeks to recover since i have talked to many people and everyone has good and bad comments with their surgery experience some say is the best decision they made and some say they are still in pain after surgery so there defenately pros and cons just feeling confused and nervous not to mention scared i mean who wouldnt right ? Just the word surgery alone is frightful . My surgery got approved by my insurance so now i have to decide on the date im still considering the idea of what if but everyone is different i think im gonna go ahead and get this thing out and not live scared of when i will get another horrible attack that pain is no joke is the worst pain i have ever experinced. Thank you all once again hope im making the right decision.
