hi all,

i am 26 years old, i am suffering from terribl stomach and back pain from 5 months. earlier it was on right side and doctors treated me through open appendectomy.  later on post sugery pain came back to my left side where it always changes it location for onr month it was at my left waist line than it came to my naval region  and now its on the left side of epigastric region. i always witnessed pain in my tighs and and back and tingliness in my legs. and almost all pain are in left side now. i am with my tests including endoscopy and barium follow through. all tests come negative except barium x ray which shows scar tissue in deudenum region leading to its narrowing. bt my gastro dont agree that it can b my reason of pain since it doesnt show any proximal dilation, different pain pattern, an no vomiting as well,, my whole life has ruined,,,could it be IBS ..i am in lot of stress...feel like ending my life..kindly guide mr anyone of you...thanks in anticipation..

    I guess IBS as most of your tests are normal. Get a second opinion though. Nothing should bother you to end your life. Thanks.

    Hi there

    I think you need to go back to your GP and demand more tests. Personally I would think that given your age it is unlikely to be a gastro problem, and more likely gynae. I would ask for a referral and get your womb and ovaries checked as things like endometriosis for example can take years to diagnose and can cause the types of pains you describe. I am no doctor and I am not saying this is the problem that you have, but nobody should be left feeling as you do, more investigation is needed. Good luck, make the appointment with your GP and let us know how you get on x

      Taken from NHS direct website;

      "The experience of pain varies between women. Most women with endometriosis get pain in the area between their hips and the tops of their legs. Some women have this all the time, while others only have pain during their periods, when they have sex or when they go to the toilet."

    Hi! I have the exact same issues I have been suffering for 4 years. I experience pain across my tummy when my Ibs strikes however I have a pain in my right dide just beside my hip bone and gets worse with moment. I have had a colonoscopy and it showed clear except for divicular diease and Ive had X-rays, ultrasounds, ovaries checked all clear.

    I am now going to general surgery in March to see if it could be endometriosis.

    Fingers crossed we both get help soon. I now suffer aniexty, panic attacks and am in pain - no wAy to live xxx
