Suffering with urethral stent

Posted , 7 users are following.

I had kidney stone surgery and stent placed 4 days ago. The pain is excruciating. Going to the bathroom is pure torture and nothing relieves the urgency . Urinating makes it feel as though someone is kicking you in the kidneys. I get the stent out Thursday but now I hear that the pain lingers after stent removal. I'm sick at the thought that this pain is going to continue. Any input would be very much appreciated.

I have had 3 stents, currently on my third after surgery last week.

When i have had stents removed in the past i felt very little pain, the relief was almost instant.

You are very lucky to only have your stent in for a week as i have mine in for a minimum of 5 weeks.

If your pain does continue i would suggests taking some painkillers just for a couple of days.

Hopefully youll be pain free very shortly..

    Gook luck..
