Suffering with Vertigo 24/7 for over 2 years now!?!

Posted , 5 users are following.

I have been living (and suffering) with Vertigo for over 2 years now.  I have tried EVERYTHING anyone has suggested from having "hands layed on me" to every Youtube video posted for curing Vertigo along with going to a several ENT's and a Neurologist who is a  "Specialist" here in my home state of Michigan with no relief......

This issue has caused me to loose over 50 pounds in the last 2 years bringing me to an unhealthy 100 pounds at 6 foot.  The constant spinning causes constant naseua which makes keeping foods down impossible.

?I am now looking to travel ANYWHERE in the US to get some releif and have no idea where to start?

Open for suggestions!

    Good Morning,

Have you tried physical Therapy or have you had the Eply Maneuver.

You should talk to your ENT and request especially physical Therapy because they will give you exercises that fit your symptoms.

I Hope You Feel Better. ☺

Two of the top centers close to you are the Chicago Dizziness Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic.  The Shea Clinic in Memphis is also one of the best in the United States.  I have also heard some good things about the Bill Wilkerson Clinic in Nashville.

You need to see a Neurotologist instead of a Neurologist for your issue.  One thing that my Neurotologist mentioned was used for this condition is what is called an Intra-Tempanic-Injection.  This is where they inject a steroid directly into the middle ear to alleviate any inflamation and swelling that may cause the sensations.

Best of luck in you journey.

That sounds truly awful.  I have had imbalance, hypoactive labyrinth, fatigue, vertigo for 4 yrs but only nausea for first 2 weeks.  My otolarygologist is always keen to try Gentamicin on me. I will not do that, he says it could destroy some of the confused msgs my vestibular nerves are sending, it also kills hearing in the ear that is being injected.

It might be worth it to stop nausea ...  Search on Gentamicin.  My Dr.is in Weston FL.

I don't remember the name but it was some nasal spray I do it about once a day

They said my tubes are blocked from my ears to my nose on my nasal is Claude so the water is just building up so that's why you're having the dizzy spells and that nasal spray will break it up and try to get the tube open

I saw Dr. Furman in Pittsburgh. He's supposed to be one of the best as well.

Also, may want to check on the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
