Hi all ,I've been taking sulfazalazine for a couple of years and have had no side effects. I chose to take this instead of methotrexate which didn't agree with me at all .Sulfazalazine does make urine very dark but it's completely harmless .I've started taking leflunomide last week too, so far so good with that. Hope it helps in at the end of my tether with the ra symptoms and the tiredness is worse than anything else .

I am on 25mg 's of Methotrexate and 600 mg of Sufasalazine. For me there has been no problem with these (except at the begginning of MTX when I was so tired I quit one of my best part time teaching jobs. However, for me, it still isn't enough to control pain, I still need strong NSAID's and Tramadol for that. . . . though my Rheumy might change the Sulfasazine to Xeljanz---- has anyone tried that?
