Sun sensitivity.

Hi....last summer i became very sensitive to the sun. I could feel the burning through my jeans and my skin felt uncomfortable. I made sure i used factor 50, so didn't really burn, although my skin felt like it was burning, all very strange.

Ive seen a dermatologist and have had blood tests, a patch test and a UVA skin test, but all came back negative.

Today the sun was out and its winter, yet my skin still felt as if it was burning. I'm at a real loss and the doctors have discharged me.

Could it be a heat sensitivity, as i also feel the heat from lights very easily.

Any thought would very much appreciated.

Thanks.

If it was genuine sun sensitivity you would break out in a rash and/or burn badly. It sounds like a reaction to heat. Do you have similar issues when exercising in warm conditions?

i did burn after 2 hours of being in the sun last summer, as i forgot to apply sun cream.

i thought this was a little unusual, given it was only 2 hours.

It was after this that i applied factor 50 everyday.
