Hallo Carole....to answer your questions....the answer is yes....it is very possible...that your husband will in time develop the problems you have mentioned....and there are others....but every person is different ,so he might not get them all....i.take it that no one so.far has spoken to you about this problem....i understand how very much you will.be concerned about it.....and it will be causing you great concern....and worry.....please make an appointment to.go.see your GP....so you can sit down with him....and you can get him to.explain...about your husbands illness....and all the problems ...it could cause.....then you will.know what to.expect...and how best to.treat and help him...and your self...please also ask what help you can get which will help with your husbands care....i feel quite sure...this will be available...and also they can help you...with implements..to.help make your husband more comfortable....please do ask!!..because i.feel sure you will.get the help you need.....so you you your self....do not get over tired.....i feel sure that the nurse at your Dr,s practice...can help with this information...and your Dr.....with the symptoms....my thoughts ..go.out to.you both....please take care....if you need to.talk..i.am.always available.....Shirley .

Hi Carole,
I am sorry to hear about your husbands condition. The cause of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy is unknown. Read all about it here: https://www.ninds.nih.gov/Disorders/Patient-Caregiver-Education/Fact-Sheets/Progressive-Supranuclear-Palsy-Fact-Sheet
See if there is a patient support group in your area (ask your GP) to get support and advice.
All the best!
