Supper itchy wheal

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hi folks,

From times to times I'm having a super itchy wheal-like thing on my neck. The itch is so intense that I cannot hold myself from touching it, and it turns red and the skin starts peeling quickly after. If I won't stop myself from touching, it will never heal. I Tried some antifungal creams, they help to heal quicker but the itch is still there.

This situation occurs to me every 3-12 months.

I never wear any sort of necklaces or jewelry. I never had unprotected sex.

Please somebody give an advice.

It does look like an allergic reaction to something. Could it be shampoo or whatever your clothes are washed In?Does it occur after visiting the hairdresser? After any particular food? Do you use any medication/creams/chemicals on your hands that could be responsible.

Alternatively it could be a reaction to stress. At work? relationships?

I dont think antifungal creams will help at all. If it continues or spreads then you may need a doctors help.

You could try an anti histamine cream which you should be able to buy just to use while its itchy for a few days or you could try an antihistamine tablet once per day for no longer than 2 weeks.

The real answer is to find the allergen and eliminate it.

      Thanks for reply Marina,

After considering all the variants, I think it either from food or stress. I'm not sure how to check food allergies, is there any tests for it? Also can it be from any bad bacteria ?

Im sure its not from bacteria or viral. Next time it happens just think about what you have eaten in the previous 24 hours, or was there a stressful moment? Make a note of anything, and continue to do this each time it happens.
