Support and Recovery - Help!

Hi there, I'm a 31 yo female who got diagnosed with glandular fever in early April. I had all sorts of symptoms (sore and swollen throat, weak, tired, nausea, loss of appetite, sweats, rapid heart beat) which have all since calmed down, except for ongoing nausea, abdominal pain and loss of appetite (3 weeks post diagnosis). I take paracetamol about 5 times a day to help with the pain and to get me through the day and antinausea tablets don't seem to work. It has really taken a mental toll on me as I have had to stop doing everything, after being an active person. And anything I do try and do (as simple as a light walk), throws me for a couple of days.
Does anyone have any tips on recovery and helping mental health? I have a great support network with my family and partner but I feel so guilty that they are doing everything for me. I feel helpless and alone going through this illness.
Would love to hear your success stories and overall recovery notes.

Hello. I went through this 2yrs ago and was very very sick for 6 months. unfortunately I don't have any advice as nothing I did worked.
it eventually resolved on its own only to return a few months later and leave me housebound for 3 months. then resolved and returned for 3 months.
then resolved and now is back and has been for 3 months. the doctor has now diagnosed me with ME/CFS which is common after having glandular fever. I was 31 when I first got sick. I have just turned 34 and think I am sicker now than i was in the beginning.
all I can say is rest, do NOT push yourself or you will get worse!
hope you are feeling better soon
